Punches is a new outfit out of Brooklyn comprising Finger on the Pulse, Alan Astor and The Kid Rob… the three of whom wanted to ‘punch’ out a new sound for summer. To kick-off this venture, they’ve crafted an ear catching mixtape containing an ear catching remix of the wistful Only You Can Make You Happy, by muses to many, Au Revoir Simone. You’ll recognize the essence of the original, but not much else, as Punches elevates the track into a disco-infused call to summer jamming. Kunkers are severely digging it.
For the moment you can find the original, the remix (soundcloud stream only for now) and the full mixtape, below… which also includes some Punches originals, Let Go, and Feeling Right, both of which give clear indication that ‘brown skin and cinnamon tans’, will be in full effect very soon!
